A reader writes:
My wife is a week overdue with our second child, and that’s less-than-good news because we’re hoping to have a VBAC and avoid another Caesarean section. I’d solicit prayer that my wife deliver soon, safely, and naturally. I also start school tomorrow, none of us has been sleeping, and my mom is starting to drive us a bit nuts. We’re fairly miserable, when we should be joyful about welcoming a Little One into the world.
And another reader writes:
It appears PZ Myers needs to go in for heart surgery. Perhaps a bit of prayer, though he speaks out against it, will do him some good.
And another reader writes:
My father has cancer and is in the critical-care unit. The next 24 hours will determine his fate. Prayers are appreciated.
Father, hear our prayer for all these people in their distinct situations. Grant a safe birth and peace to the expecting family, healing to PZ Myers, and your grace and love to your servant suffering from cancer and to his family through your Son Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Gianna, St. Philip Neri, St. Paul, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for us all and especially for these people.
