If I were to post one single solitary racist slur…

…or bestiality video, or p*rn–just one, you would rightly think conclude that I was a creep who was unworthy of your trust, particularly if I’d been hiding the 10 year old kid I father out of wedlock while yakking about my commitement to conservative family values.

But, if I were a Tea Party darling and sent not one, but *hundreds* of such things to my friends, we are apparently to believe that such a disgusting bottom feeder is to be entrusted with the highest office in New York.

I would link to the article which shows, in gross and graphic detail, the swinish stuff Carl Paladino has viewed and forwarded by the *hundreds*, but it’s simply too repulsive. If you feel some sick need to view it, Google it yourself. This is a PG-13 site.

Why does this matter? Because once again a) the Tea Party is putting forward as leader material a guy who should be setting off alarm bells, not earning the trust of people who imagine they are the Voice of the Godly and b) once again, the excuse being offered for this creep is “Opposition to abortion (or, at least, talk about opposition to abortion) taketh away the sins of the world.” So long as he yaks about being prolife, we Culture of Life types should just look the other way as he indulges his gross (and I do mean *gross*) proclivities for racism, abuse of women, and spectacular perversion. After all, it’s not like it’s *gay* perversion. So it’s alright. I must only be protesting because I want the Left to win and I hate babies.

And so, once again, the “10% less evil than the other leading brand” approach delivers what it always delivers: evil.
