Prayer Request

This is one of those prayer requests I feel hesitant about posting, since it tempts a certain sort of combox jerk to offer diagnostics of the petitioner’s soul instead of prayers. So, let me say ahead of time: the purpose of prayer requests is to request prayer, not to invite people who know absolutely nothing about the petitioner or his situation to read souls and offer free criticism of their children/parenting skills, etc. If you have some practical help to offer (medical resources, etc.) that’s great. But don’t use the space to rub salt in a wound. That said, a reader writes:

CPS is investigating us for ‘neglect’. Our child has health problems that are so far incompletely diagnosed and I think that someone thinks we’re faking (or something).

Please pray that God’s grace guides all and the visit Tuesday is the end of it. If it isn’t, pray that we can pay the necessary lawyer!

And that we finally figure out what is going on with our child’s health and treat it so she can have a more or less normal life. Finally, that our child, who for the last year or so has expressed dubiety about the existence of God, and His Love, will be granted faith. She’s been let down by a lot of authority people in her life, and I think it’s carried over to God, since
He hasn’t come through with a miracle for her.

Father, hear our prayer for this family, that they can find healing for their daughter and that your Name would be glorified through this. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them. We ask this in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
