Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I am writing to ask for prayers for a colleague. We have received the following email yesterday, and as you can imagine, it is a difficult choice. If she goes for treatment she could lose the baby, but if she doesn’t.. she may not be around to see the baby grow up.

Thank you in advance for all prayers. I really hope and pray for a miracle.

Some of you will have spoken or worked with Charlotte Edwards, who provides HR support to the International team. I therefore wanted you to be aware that Charlotte is not currently working, since unfortunately she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Even more tragically, because she is currently pregnant the disease has spread rapidly. I shall be writing to Charlotte on behalf of the team to say that we are thinking of her and wishing her well in her treatment and recovery.

Father, hear our prayer for the life of both mother and child in this situation. Grant healing to her, body, soul, and spirit, and grant her child be born healthy. Give skill to her caregivers and grace, consolation, strength and peace to those who love her. Mother Mary, help her by your powerful intercession. We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
