A readers…
asks everyone to please pray for one of my good friends, who is facing very hard times. She’s been sent home from the hospital with stage four breast cancer, which moved into her liver. She’s looking into experimental/alternative treatments now. She’s a very sweet, vibrant, wonderful person, with a strong determination to overcome, both for herself, and for her dear young daughter. Please pray.
Father, hear our prayer for complete healing in body, soul and spirit for this woman and for grace, strength and peace for all who love her. Grant also that her caregivers have the skill and art necessary for her healing. We ask this through Jesus your Son. Mother Mary, pray for all involved.
Almost two year ago, a reader wrote:
Please pray for my friend Don, who had diabetes for years before it was diagnosed. Consequently his body has been severely damaged. He’s lost the sight in one eye, and his kidneys have been damaged to point where this man in his early forties is looking at dialysis. He’s despondent and doesn’t know how he’s going to pay for everything.
Now he adds:
Well, almost two years on, Don is on dialysis and on a transplant list. But now is he is gravely ill and hospitalized with what sounds like sepsis from the dialysis, but they don’t really know yet. He’s incoherent and in the ICU. His poor wife just called me and she is worn to a thread.
Mark, please pray, and please ask your readers to pray, for Don and his family.
Father, we ask for Don’s complete healing through your Son Jesus and, in particular, your grace, strength and consolation for his wife and all who love him. Help his caregiver do what he needs to get well. Mother Mary, pray for him and all who love him.
