Hey Mark, longtime reader here. I’m getting married in about a month and just had two quick questions for your readers (if you ever get the comments working again 😉 )

1) Both my fiancee and I are Catholic, and I was just wondering if any readers knew of any good resources for deepening our spirituality as married couple and not just as individuals.

2) This is a tough one, and I need a lot of help on it. We’re going to Rome for our honeymoon, and I need a book recommendation for the flight. Do you or any of your readers know of a good first book for a newly married man?

I’m not much on marriage book recommendations, mostly because our marriage hasn’t been fueled by marriage books too much. We’ve gotten our sustenance from other sources. However, that’s just me and I know there are good ones out there. Greg Popcak has a pretty good one called For Better Forever. Also, I’ve heard people speak well of Fulton Sheen’s Three to Get Married. And I would recommend Brave New Family, a collection of some essay’s by Chesterton. Indeed, Chesterton’s writings on the family (and finding and befriending as many older couples with successful marriages and families is one of the smartest things you can do.

Anyone else with answers for either 1 or 2?
