Praise Report and Prayer request 2014-12-30T21:28:00-07:00

A reader writes:

A couple of weeks ago, my parish called asking for donations of around $100/month for 16 months for a construction campaign. I explained that while I supported the endeavor, as an unemployed former student with $100k in loans to pay off I wasn’t in the best position to do so. I was extremely humbled when the caller responded by stating (not offering) that the parish would put me on their list of intentions for the community to pray for. Now, over the past week and a half or so, at least 3 major interview opportunities have popped up. One has resulted in a second-round interview scheduled for tomorrow, and the others are first-rounders today and next week.

I am extremely grateful for the prayers of my parish that I am certain have led to these new opportunities opening up. Praise be to God! However, in the past when I have gone on interviews–especially second round/final interviews–I have had great difficulty “closing the deal” and getting the offer. In that regard, I would like to ask for prayers for strength, grace, and peace as I go forward, that I may have success in these interviews.

Father, thank you for your faithful people and their prayers for your servant. We ask that you would grant your servant strength, grace and peace and that he would have success in his interviews through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for him! Amen!
