This is one of the (few) tunes he did (since the headliner was the inimitable John Hodgman–a fantastically funny evening). Think of it as sort of perverse love letter from Lex Luthor to Superman or Magneto to Professor X:
John Roderick was there too, as well as Sean Nelson of Harvey Danger and John Flansberg of They Might Be Giants. Incredibly funny evening.
He didn’t sing this, but he also has a rather charming song about old coots growing old together. As an aspiring coot, it reminds me of the charms of my cootessa and our happy lives raising four alarmingly large boys who have become alarmingly large young men.
