A reader writes:
First, I’d like to thank you for your prayers for my family and providing a link to my blog where your readers could donate to help in rebuilding my mother’s house. We all appreciate it very much!
Now I’m asking for you and your readers’ prayers for my health. I have neurological damage which effects my sensory nerves- I often feel tired, soreness, stiffness and pain throughout my feet and legs. My balance if also effected, and I suffer from dizzy spells and stomachaches. I have been to at least fifteen doctors and I am officially a candidate for “Mystery Diagnosis” at this point. They’ve ruled out ALS, MS, Lupus, Lime Disease and Parkinson’s, along with many other disorders.
I would like prayer for healing, strength and faith. I have a beautiful 3 month old daughter to care for, and it can be quite a struggle some days. God has blessed me and my husband with our little Sweetie. When I first became pregnant, a doctor recommended I abort her because of the neurological problems I’m dealing with. Well, she’s healthy, happy and such a source of hope and joy for us.
Please pray, though. I’ve been reading St. Therese of Liseaux’s autobiography along with other Catholic saints because there is a real sense of peace and strength in their stories. I’m a Protestant, but I have been comforted by those who suffered as to Christ.
Father, hear our prayer for this reader and grant her the grace of complete healing, as well as strength and faith to trust in your love for her. Give grace and peace to her and her family, and wisdom, skill and compassion to her caregivers to help diagnose and heal this illness. Bless their child and help them to be good parents to her. Mother Mary and St. Therese, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!
