From our “Grace is Dark Matter” Dept.

Rich over at Brutally Honest has a sudden, wrenching encounter with grace in the person of Julie Carrick who, like most of God’s shocking and heartbreakingly beautiful messengers, nobody has ever heard of.

It’s amazing to me how, for most of us, the most shattering and exquisite encounters with grace have take place in out of the way moments that are a million miles from the camera, the microphone and the yammering of what mass media considers “important”. From Paul, to Augustine to modern converts like John C. Wright, what marks their encounters with grace is the extreme privacy and intimacy with which God works.
