Catholic Vote has put together a fantastic little video on Top Ten Reasons for Hope in 2012. Way to go, guys!
I have to, in particular, second the bit about Catholic youth. Jan and I spent last weekend at a Militia Immaculata retreat out at Marytown near Chicago. The whole thing was golden from beginning to end. What a great bunch of young adults, well-formed and on fire for Christ. Plus, Marytown is a fantastic place. If you’ve never been there, then go and make a pilgrimage. The shrine is gorgeous, the Franciscans are fantastic, and the Holy Spirit is busy there. Jan and I (and a bunch of the MI youthly folk) made our consecration to the Immaculata, for which I am grateful. It was a sweet, beautiful, Spirit-filled five days and it gave me great hope for the future of the Church.
