Sorry. Not buying the demagoguery. He’s taking a great many words to say, “There’s an evil conspiracy against me and so I don’t have to do what the archbishop told me to do.”
Always with the conspiracy stuff when it comes to Conservative Catholic Folk Heros. And no wonder when they themselves encourage their fans to believe it.
