Charity across the Pond

A reader writes:

I’m a long time reader/lurker of your blog and was hoping you would mention this fundraising charity abseil to your readers, which manages to combine two of my favourite icons, St Oswald and Batman! The abseil is taking place in Newcastle upon Tyne, which is both the original ‘Gotham City’ and within Oswald’s own ancient kingdom of Northumbria! It is also raising money for a fantastic organisation which provides specialist care for children and young adults with life shortening illnesses!
