For what, all these wars?

A grateful Afghanistan says, “Get out!”

Good enough for me. We should leave immediately. Unless we are fool enough to think that when the people we are ostensibly there to help start killing us, they become the enemy and we cannot “cut and run”.

Me: I think when the people we are supposed to be helping don’t want our help, we should stop helping them. Only raw hubris (and perhaps the lure of a trillion dollars in lithium) is what motivates our Compassionate Ruling Class to bravely send other people to suffer and die in this idiotic exercise in nation-building. Their damp pink hands are so good at signing orders and endorsing checks.
