Catholic and Enjoying It!
People ask why a sacrifice as brutal as Christ’s was necessary to atone for our sins, and I point to the fact that we are species whose priorities include cosmetic surgery for dogs while millions are starving and millions more are aborted while adoption costs a fortune.
And besides, *we* are the ones who decided how Jesus would die. We came up with all the refinements of cruelty and we freely inflicted them on him, with great zest and laughter. He simply let it happen to him. And we even blame him for that. We are some sick puppies.
