Prayer Requests 2014-12-30T19:01:47-07:00

A reader writes:

I’d like to request prayers for a woman, her children and her husband. He has been estranged from the family for the last few years, has come back and is now threatening to leave again. He is a lost soul so pray most especially for his conversion.

Father, hear our prayer for the healing of this family and that you Son Jesus would take hold of this man in love and bring him to repentance, happiness, and restoration. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes:

A friend’s father is dying of angiosarcoma, and his upcoming birthday (Palm Sunday) is likely to be his last. His son is asking people to send his dad birthday cards to make it extra special; the details are here.

Steve is “super Catholic”, according to his son, so religious cards/sentiments are welcome.

Father, hear our prayer that he be given the grace of a happy death through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death,

Another reader writes concerning a woman for whom she requested prayer:

Let the rest of your readers know that Trudy passed peacefully (and her daughter said she left this life with JOY) at 10:30 AM on Mon.

Her family are grateful for all of the prayers, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart that you posted my request. Trudy was a love, and we are all going to miss her terribly.

Let perpetual light shine on her, Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for her and welcome her Home.

Another reader writes:

First, today I’ll be representing the Sydney University Catholic Society of St. Peter in a public debate on the topic “Is Jesus God” against a Muslim gentleman. Judging from the response we’ve had to our publicity, we are expecting a large crowd and I’m more than a little nervous, so if you would pass the prayer-request along to your readers I’d be very much apreciated.

Second, I have just started a new blog. If you could take a look and, if you think it looks ok, pass the adress along to your readers, that would be great. The adress is www.maskedthomist.blogspot.com

Father, bless him and give him your words in the debate. Also, bless his blog and prosper it. Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for him. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Finally, I would like to ask prayers for a friend who is struggling with sickness and depression, that they would find light and hope in God through his Son Jesus. Also, please pray for me as I am working on a huge project that demands all my faculties.
