Here’s a chance to do a work of mercy:

What is Operation: Backpack?

Operation: Backpack is our campaign to raise new items and funds for our Body, Mind and Soul camps and our childhood education programs.  In 2012, we are scheduled to have over 200 children join us in five different locations around the Rosebud Reservation. The Body, Mind and Soul camp joins the children of the Rosebud with volunteers from all over the country in a week filled with learning and fun.  Throughout April and part of May, we will be sharing video, photos, and testimonials from our program leaders, donors and volunteers. To follow along, visit: http://www.sfmission.org/operationbackpack/

How can I help Operation: Backpack?

If you want to help, there are several ways:

1)      Keep our staff, volunteers and camp attendees in your prayers this summer! We need prayers as much as we need donations and items!

2)      Visit our Amazon.com Wish List and purchase one of our needed items.  All items will be used during the Body, Mind and Soul camps this summer. Any leftover items will be used in our education programs in the fall.

3)      Donate online during the month of April here. It costs just $12 to sponsor a child for one day, $60 to sponsor them for the whole week.

4)      Tell your friends via Facebook, Twitter or Google +.
