Today’s chance to do a work of mercy

A reader writes:

I would like to ask for your prayers for Abner, a boy in 8th grade, who has been diagnosed with leukemia.

Please pray for Abner’s complete cure, minimal side effects from treatment, and restored regulation of his glucose.

For his mother, Tsega and father Michael, for infinite strength and confidence in the goodness of the Lord and protection of Tsega’s health and the Lord’s care for the basic needs of the family while Tsega is unable to do all she normally would.

Tsega has not been able to go to work since Abner’s hospitalization on November 12th, and her job does not have any appreciable sick leave benefits, so if she doesn’t work, she doesn’t get paid.

Fortunately, Abner’s soccer team has created a GoFund Me account for their family. If you are able, please consider making a contribution to their family here.
