Perhaps your chance to do a work of mercy July 31, 2012

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a debilitating pregnancy-related disease which causes unrelenting nausea and vomiting, extreme weight loss, dehydration and malnutrition.  Too often, it leads to the terrible decision to terminate the pregnancy.   Thankfully, there is now a major medical study of HG being conducted at UCLA.

You can help with this worthwhile research!   To participate, you need only complete an online questionnaire and return a saliva kit that will be mailed to you.  Women are eligible if they are under 51 and either (1) were ever diagnosed with HG, or (2) did NOT have HG, and have at least two children.

Volunteers at Beyond Morning Sickness are helping to screen participants and expedite the process.   Please write to ashli@beyondmorningsickness.com if you’ll like to become part of the study.  Also, if you’ll like to make a donation to the research, you may do so by clicking here:  http://www.petridish.org/projects/what-causes-nausea-and-vomiting-of-pregnancy
