On the Executive Director of a Catholic Social Justice Organization Being Unable to Say Whether Abortion Should Be Illegal

Look, if Sr. Simone tells us she’s a moral imbecile, who am I to disagree?
In the words of Forrest Gump, “That’s all I’ve got to say about that” (though “Stupid is as stupid does” also is apropos).
What’s notable here is that essentially the same strategy is deployed by everybody on both sides of the aisle when they want to rationalize their preferred grave intrinsic evil.  So on the right side of the aisle we listened for years while “conservative Catholics” wearied God with BS about how it was just sooooo hard to even know what torture was as they played tedious definitional games in order to keep from facing the fact that they were, in fact, advocating and defending not just the torture but the murder of prisoners. Sr. Simone is playing exactly the same game, attempting to shroud the evil she is excusing in exactly the same veil of fog of vagueness and euphemism.
Euphemism is an absolutely certain indicator of the presence of evil.
