Bravo Bp. Jenky!

It is interesting that McClatchy, which supposedly speaks truth to power, is in fact busily acting as state-run media for Power here.  As near as I can tell, the bishop’s letter never mentions Obama.  But since the shoe fits, they spring to his defense.

If McClatchy were really interested in speaking truth to power, it might consider speaking to the President who claims the power to indefinitely detain, kill citizens on a whim, and murder four year Pakistani girls while labeling the body parts strewing the ground “terrorists”.  But the media’s courage has always been highly selective.  It’s one of the better reason for voting Romney: maybe wretched cowards like the state-run media will begin to imitate having a conscience.
