…has discovered one of the basic rules of the “faithful conservative” Catholic blogosphere: mention the phrase “social justice” and you will never get another word in edgewise as people who get all their catechesis from Talk Radio, FOX, and others in the conservative Catholic blogosphere proceed to shriek at the top of their lungs and babble about Nazis, ACORN, Sarah Palin and Obama in your comboxes. It’s as if the post he wrote is a mere Pavlovian cue like a bell. Funny stuff.

How is it that some Catholics have managed to persuade themselves that social justice is the opposite of being prolife and to steadfastly ignore the Church’s copious explanations that social justice and the prolife cause are inextricably linked?

Crazy.
