I generally can’t stand all of the talent shows, American Idol, America’s got talent, etc., but one thing I will say is very heartening about them is they are often a rejection of what the music industry is trying to con us with, that “music” is about gyrating teens on a stage in an over-produced affair designed to exploit our sexual desires.

Nice to see another example of us rejecting that false notion.
