Swimming against the tide means limiting one’s access to positions of prestige and power in society. It means that those who choose to live by the Catholic faith will not be welcomed as political candidates to national office, will not sit on editorial boards of major newspapers, will not be at home on most university faculties, will not have successful careers as actors and entertainers. Nor will their children, who will also be suspect. Since all public institutions, no matter who owns or operates them, will be agents of the government and conform their activities to the demands of the official religion, the practice of medicine and law will become more difficult for faithful Catholics. It already means in some States that those who run businesses must conform their activities to the official religion or be fined, as Christians and Jews are fined for their religion in countries governed by Sharia law.”- Cardinal Francis George
ISIS, horrible as they are, are not going to take over the world. Their dreams of a global caliphate are grandiose humbug. Our Ruling Class, however, is all about trying to take over the world, and has a much better shot at it given the massive wealth, power, and artillery at their command. 9/11 was the best thing to ever happen to our Ruling Class. It gave them a free hand to vastly expand the police and surveillance state, to militarize the cops, to create a nation on a permanent war footing, to declare “deficits don’t matter”, to do all manner of mischief under the fig leaf of “fighting terror”, to cow anybody who objected with the stigma of being “unpatriotic”, to despoil the middle class while vastly increasing the wealth of a vanishingly small oligarchy, and always, always always to make war on the Church both at home and abroad. Our actions, both abroad and domestically, particularly by this Administration, are openly hostile to the Church. But then again, our actions have been hostile to the Church abroad for decades. The one consistent fruit of our policies abroad, across multiple administrations, has been the destruction of the Church and the punishment of (and increase in the ranks of) the poor.

Best part, when our Ruling Class is done despoiling the US and leaving it to be picked over by the nations to which we are in massive debt, they themselves–Patriots all who spent the past ten years flying the flag and manipulating their prey with nationalist bombast–bug out and renounce their citizenship in search of new prey.
