      I really like that version. Made me think of Nightmare before Christmas for some reason.

      Funny – in high school my very talented friend arranged an upbeat Jingle Bells in a minor key. We rocked it in 4-part for the Christmas concert; it sounded like a wild Slavic wedding dance.

    The unusual time signatures are one of the reasons I was always a Rush fan (the Canadian rock band, not the bloviating radio commentator). They do some amazing songs like “Losing It” in 5/8. http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=4192 or “Time Stand Still” which starts in 7/4 and goes through a few others. Makes them pretty difficult to dance to, though!
