…to serve Movement Conservatism’s war on every point of Catholic teaching in conflict with its ideological demands. Its purpose is not to catechize Catholics but to turn them into good soldiers to battle the Magisterium whenever it threatens the Right. Exhibit A: this piece which begins with the author’s confession of his ignorance of Islam does not stop him from instructing the faithful reject the Church’s Magisterial teaching about Islam and cling to Right Wing Noise Machine Culture War tropes.
