Ouch. The New York Times takes a slightly bemused look at the Convention of Napoleon Dynamites with a Mean Streak as they deliberate on just how big a jerk each of them should be in the public square. The consensus is that the human creatures among which they move would really respond well to their being great big jerks. Chris Cooney attempts to speak to them from the vantage point of the perspective of the socially and emotionally normal community, but is defeated by those who worship the intellect rather than using it.
