My friend Ted Naff writes:
I hope you’ll consider joining me and other Catholic Professionals and business people in creating a forum for local Catholics to enjoy the support of peers in living out their faith in their professional lives.
We meet 9 times per year, usually on the first Friday of the month, at the Newman Center in the University District. There are three components to our meetings:
1. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass starting at 6:45 AM and celebrated by our chaplain, Father Raymond Cleaveland
2. Breakfast and socializing at 7:30 AM
3. A talk by a well-known national or local speaker to aid and inspire us to live out our Catholic faith in the world — 8:15 – 9:00 AM.

We are honored to welcome George Weigel to our group’s kick-off meeting on October 8th to speak on his upcoming book:
The End and the Beginning
George Weigel’s long-awaited sequel to the international bestseller Witness to Hope: The Biography of Pope John Paul II will be published by Doubleday on September 14, 2010. More than ten years in the making, The End and the Beginning: Pope John Paul II — The Victory of Freedom, the Last Years, the Legacy chronicles John Paul’s decades-long struggle with communism and recounts the tumultuous last years of John Paul’s life as he dealt with a crippling illness, “new world disorder,” and corruption within the Church.
I’m going. Sounds interesting. Plus, I get to go to Mass!
