Prayer Request

A reader writes:

Hello, I am writing on behalf of a friend of mine who is facing rather serious problems in his life at this time. As of writing this my friend is living in New York with no heat and barely any roof over his head. Money is increasingly tight, and he worries over whether he will even be able to afford to buy food soon. His family is supposed to be on food stamps, but haven’t received any sort of aid in over a month now. His mother is disabled and cannot work, so he is searching in earnest for a job, which remains as elusive as ever.

He is not by any means religious, and is having a hard time holding on to hope that things will ever get better, prayers for him, and that he may find a job quickly, are much appreciated.

Father, hear our prayer for this man, made in your image and likeness, that he would swiftly find work and be granted the things necessary for his and his family’s sustenance and flourishing. Help the aid he needs to arrive quickly and help him find a job quickly. Let all be done to the glory of your Name and lead to an encounter with the Lord Jesus and the salvation of him and his family. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for him and his family. We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen!
