My conversation with my friend from last week went really really well. I was able to challenge him and inform him and he gave really great feedback. It was clear that God did in fact bless that conversation as we had prayed.
Thanks be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ!

I have been self-employed as translator for well over 35 years now. It was never intended to last that long: my training is in commerce and economics, and I expected the translation work to just tide me over until I found a new job, which never happened. Now that I am passed “regular” retirement age, I find that I can still continue to work, probably for at least a few more years, since my “office” is in the second bedroom in my apartment and I don’t have to commute to work. However, since for other reasons I have not been able to have a car for the last 6 years, I can no longer do the networking that was so useful to find customers, and I find that there is almost no new work coming my way. Living on old age pension is possible, but very difficult, and having been self-employed for so long, and living from cheque to cheque, it was impossible to save for retirement. I don’t know if I need to pray for more work to come my way, or for help in getting used to this totally unwanted retirement, but the Lord knows what I need next, or what He would like me to do next. But I do need some prayers…
Father, hear our prayer for your guidance and abundant provision for your child through Jesus Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for her.

Hey, Pappy!
So a good friend of mine is going to Cuba on a mission trip. She is asking for prayers and monetary support, so I was wondering if you could put up a prayer request and a link to the mission’s site (Here). If you could, that would be awesome.
Father, hear our prayer that the people of Cuba may hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and find salvation in his Name. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen! Mother Mary, pray for all your children in baptism.

My husband is having a heck of a time with headaches lately. He has a nasty trigeminal headache going this morning, and he’s been getting terrible migraines. The spells that had been under control seem to be sneaking back. We’re working with his doctor to get them back under control. It’s getting harder for him to walk, too. But we are truly grateful that he can still walk! He can make it a couple of feet to a couple of yards before he has to stop and “reboot.” Both the headaches and the walking challenges are difficult for him! Prayers appreciated.
Father, hear our prayer for his complete healing and for wisdom, skill and compassion for his caregivers, as well as provision, grace, peace, and strength for all who love him through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for him and for all concerned here. Amen.

Thanks for including my family’s prayer request about our daughter – Maria Isabella a few weeks ago….I have some updates here on her Spina Bifida and our surgery next week in Philadelphia.
If you could, please post this link to our blog where we have updates on everything going on! Please keep praying!
Father, continue your work of healing in her life and of grace, peace, and strength in the lives of all who love her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them. Amen.
