From our bulging “Our troops are just flesh and blood…

…and can’t endure forever being treated as disposable resources by our Social Engineering Ruling Class” file we find our soldiers are asked to give up their weapons before a visit from the Defense Secretary:

In a sign of the nervousness surrounding Mr. Panetta’s trip, the Marines and other troops who were waiting in a tent for the defense secretary to speak were abruptly asked by their commander to get up, place their weapons — M-16 and M-4 automatic rifles and 9-mm pistols — outside the tent and then return unarmed. The commander, Sgt. Maj. Brandon Hall, told reporters he was acting on orders from superiors.

Why ever would there be a fear that troops–sent into battle umpteen times over the past decade, only to get buried in landfills, left unemployed, and find their benefits cut by a grateful ruling class who make no sacrifices themselves–might feel hostility toward that Ruling Class? How could the devastating toll on military families inflicted by our Ruling Class’ use of them as playthings in their ongoing wars of Empire and experiments in nation-building possibly lead to stories like this one about another guy who has, again, been deployed multiple times when any person of common sense could see that he was in desperate need of help long ago?

We (rightly) blame the bishops for their shocking lack of common sense in putting subordinates who were dropping red flags all over the place into positions where they were guaranteed to do evil. Why do we give a pass to the fools in our Ruling Class who keep sending men and women who are well past the breaking point back into battle till they break?
