A project of mine three years in the making is now finally going to see the light of day. My documentary, A Woman for Our Time: St. Elizabeth of Hungary, will be shown in a “sneak preview” at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Melville (Long Island) New York, on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. The film traces the life and influence of this amazing woman, wife, mother, Franciscan, defender of the poor, and upholder of the culture of life from her life in the 13th century up to our day. It also covers the celebration of the centenary of her birth in 2007-2008 in Thuringia, Assisi, Rome, Paris, Esztergom and Budapest.
All of your readers in the New York area are cordially invited to attend. You will get a chance to critique the film, ask questions and have refreshments. Best of all, it’s free! Please see here for more information and exact directions: (). You can also e-mail me at [email protected].
Oh, and the film’s official website: www.stelizabethdocumentary.com.
Thanks!
You know, Lori is really starting to impress me as a true Renaissance Woman. When she isn’t translating documents out of some Romance Language into English, she’s busy making documentaries. Very impressive!
