Here are two snapshots from the front lines. First, is this letter from the local coordinator:
Friends
Today, we had another report of young parents who chose to give their child life. Both mother and father were quite anxious about the pregnancy. Following respectful conversation with our prayer volunteers, and the consolation of being given the Miraculous Medal, tears of joy replaced tears of anguish. Thank you, Jesus.
Tomorrow, we are in need of additional prayer volunteers from 9-6. The hours from 9-2, for the most part, only one person is present; 2:30-6, no one is on shift. I realize this is the 2nd or 3rd request for this week, but for both legal and safety reasons, we do not want people there alone.
May the Holy Spirit of Christ be present to you and may Almighty God bless you and your families for all your prayers and sacrifices. Remember to pray for the abortion clinic employees, that God will touch their heart and mind and turn them from the abortion business – working instead in a life-giving field.
The second snapshot is from a phone call I got from a friend down at the clinic, who called me yesterday morning to tell me the transvestite from PP had come out, giving the standard warning about not coming on their property (40 Days people never do) and then asking to take their picture. My friend’s description of the encounter suggested that the PP worker was rather matter-of-fact about it, like (s)he was just a drone doing what company policy said. So though the policy is meant to intimidate, it seems not to have had the desired effect. What especially cracked me up was the cheery response of my friend, who said, “Sure! Hey! Can we take you picture too?” The PP drone said, “Okay! That seems fair!” and they all had a nice time photographing each other.
