Meanwhile, Fr. Jenkins continues to give “lame Jesuitical casuistry” a bad name by explaining to the bishops that when they said it was bad to heap honors on rabidly pro-choice pols, what they *actually* meant was “rabidly pro-choice *Catholic* pols”. Obama’s not Catholic, so ND can heap as many honors as they like on him!

I eagerly await the establishment of the Joseph Mengele Endowed Chair for Excellence in Non-Catholic Scientific Methodologies (awarded each year to the Morally Different Non-Catholic who earns the most money, prestige and power by deliberately defying Catholic moral teaching). Clearly, such an award is what the bishops have in mind by their confusingly worded statements.
