Things I’m Learning About Confrontation

If you are being blindsided by confrontations, examine the accusations and measure them by God’s standard. Maybe even ask someone (or several someones) you trust if there is any truth to the concern(s).  You might be guilty and need to seek forgiveness and make restitution. On the other hand,  God might be using you to convict others. The lady doth protest too much methinks, of sticks and yelping dogs, the guilty flee when nobody pursueth and all that.  Humble yourself by prayerfully considering before reacting or responding, but don’t be discouraged. If you sinned, make it right and move on. If you didn’t sin, it means God is working in and through you and that is an honor. Always remember to Love God (sing His praises), love your neighbor (be kind and speak truth), and remember that being a faithful servant is not a popularity contest. As someone wiser than I said, “Iron does sharpen iron, but usually it gives off some sparks, expect that.”
