Outrage Porn and the Christian Reader

Bloggers are trained to blog the extreme because that means more views which means more money. The fake hype and self-righteousness gets old fast (especially if you see a lot of it). Being a blogger and working with women’s forums, I’ve gotten to the point that whenever I come across some “Doctors are Devils” type article, some “Milk Will Kill You” headline, all I see anymore is thinly veiled Jerry Springers, Geraldos and Ricky Lakes — which doesn’t necessarily bother me (this side of Glory and all that), but what does sadden me is to see Christians sharing, endorsing and spreading that kind of trash.
