Reimagining Medicine

April 6, 2016 - April 8, 2016

$49 – $159

Even as health care has grown to a $3.8 trillion per year industry, many are realizing that medicine is broken. Health care reform increased access to health care systems, but these are divided by racial discrimination and social inequity. Meanwhile, health care reform did little to improve the experiences of patients, physicians, nurses, and practice. We may have begun health care reform, but the renewal of medicine is still waiting.

Join us April 6-7 for “Reimagining Medicine,” a conference addressing the major issues in health care today from the perspective of Christian faith. The conference highlights some of the nation’s most respected voices on medicine, theology, and culture.

The conference is 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 7. The gathering will include plenary lectures, breakout sessions, and panel discussions on topics ranging from nursing to health care reform to the connection between faith and medicine. Please plan on attending both days.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Colorado Medical Society through the joint providership of Porter Adventist Hospital and Denver Institute for Faith & Work. Porter Adventist Hospital is accredited by the Colorado Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
