Following an extensive investigation, on this day in 1969 the United States Air Force ordered the conclusion of the project, which then produced what according to many was the notorious white wash, Project Blue Book.
In summary, the report suggested the phenomenon was a “mild form of mass hysteria, individuals who fabricate such reports to perpetrate a hoax or seek publicity, psychopathological persons, and misidentification of various conventional objects.” And I would add if anything happened that didn’t fit that particular list, nonetheless, what was witnessed was of an earthly origin…
Sort of the bottom line here is that the same math which suggests there are more than likely intelligent (by human calculation) species throughout the universe, also pretty much insists we will never meet in the flesh, ever. We won’t even have two-way communication.
Okay, unless it turns out faster than light travel is possible, of course…
But even then, come on folks, you travel a gazillion light years, to sneak around, kidnap various, and probe their private parts?
Where is Occam’s razor when we need it?
Personally I think a worthy investigation would be a delving into the psycho spiritual thread that has over the years manifested as shamanism, channeling, spiritualism & flying saucer contact without any necessary connection to “objective” realities. Could be rich.
But apparently no one is consulting me.
And, alright, probably all for the best…
