Sexual Education from Fathers

In a recent study published in the Journal of Family Issues it discusses the importance of fathers participating in the sexual education of their daughters.  Only 21% of the participants reported having had sexual education conversations with their fathers.  79% of the participants reported wishing that their fathers had shared more information.  Girls seem to want a man’s perspective on how men think about sex, how to deal with pressures around having sex, about their own dating experiences when they were young and just being more open and comfortable discussing these types of topics.
Fathers: please remember you have much to contribute and much to offer your daughters when it comes to sexual education!
