FOX News Reports that A Russian spy ship was spotted patrolling off the East Coast of the United States on Tuesday morning, the first such instance during the Trump administration — and the same day it was learned the Kremlin had secretly deployed controversial cruise missiles inside Russia and buzzed a U.S. Navy destroyer, U.S. officials told Fox News.

The Russian ship was in international waters, 70 miles off the coast of Delaware and heading north at 10 knots, according to one official. The U.S. territory line is 12 nautical miles.

It was not immediately clear where the ship is headed.

The ship, the SSV-175 Viktor Leonov, last sailed near the U.S. in April 2015, an official said. It was also seen in Havana in January 2015.

Prophecy unfolding?

American Thinker writes:

For those of us who grew up in America being told that the godless communist atheists in Russia were our enemies, the idea that America might give up on God and Christianity while Russia embraces religion might once have been difficult to accept. But  everyday signs in America show a growing contempt for Christianity.  The exact opposite trend is happening for Russia and its leaders—a return to Christian roots.

As tensions between the USA, NATO and Russia intensify a new  Russian nuclear submarine armed  ballistic missiles  has been named after a Russia Orthodox Saint.  The new sub will be fitted with its own Orthodox chapel after the vessel finishes its sea trials.

It becomes the forth nuke-carrying sub equipped with a religious sanctuary.

1025919692 The four nuclear subs  bestowed with the names of Orthodox Saints  are St. George the Victor, the Dmitrii Donskoi, the Yurii Dolgorukii, and the Aleksandr Nevskii.

It was during a conversation with Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill, General Director at Sevmash shipyard Nikolay Kalistratov revealed the name of the submarine, Vesti.ru reports.

The military chapel on the submarines will allow sailors to attend religious services right on board during the sub’s long missions.

It is the sixth military chapel to consecrated into the Russian Navy. The other five were installed on the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, the heavy cruiser Pyotr Veliky, Russian Navy sail training ship Kruzenshtern, guided missile cruiser Moskva, and nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine K-433 Svyatoy Georgiy Pobedonosets.

The development of clergy activities in the Russian army has support from the highest level. Some 240 clergy and nine priest positions have appeared in the Russian army in 2011, and by the end of the year the military is expected to fill all the vacancies with representatives from all official religions.

A full-scale military priesthood existed in Russia from the 18th century until the beginning of the Soviet era. In 2009, President Dmitry Medvedev supported a project to restore the military priesthood to Russia

FOX NEWS “What’s in a name? Putin’s ominous vision for Russia”

Putin’s aggressive nationalism is nowhere more obvious than in the new names he has bestowed on many of Russia’s ballistic missile submarines. These include the St. George the Victor, the Dmitrii Donskoi, the Yurii Dolgorukii, and the Aleksandr Nevskii.
