Is Pope Francis in fact secretly the “Protector” of Medjugorje? Did Pope Francis just “Troll” Mainstream Catholic Media with his recent comments about Medjugorje? May 17, 2017
“Now let’s see if Catholic media can set aside their bias against Medjugorje and report the important news that Medjugorje is supernatural in its origins and that the recommendation of the Ruini commission is to create a “Shrine” administered by the Vatican honoring the Queen of Peace.”
In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtrl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional …

Was the press duped?…It is quite possible that Pope Francis was being very shrewd in making fun of the Medjugorje apparitions (Our Lady is not a post office clerk) yet knowing full well that the conclusions found in the Ruini dossier were quite positive towards the apparitions.   The Ruini report states that 13 out of 14 medjugorje experts who were part of the investigation committee voted in favor of Medjugorje being “Supernatural in nature”. Pope Francis new this very well.
From La Stampa:
Thirteen votes in favor of recognizing the supernatural nature of the first seven appearances in Medjugorje, one vote against and one “suspensive” ballot, which will give a final answer later. A majority of suspensive votes and many doubts instead, concerning the apparition phenomenon from the end of 1981 to today.
These are the results of the work done by the commission on Medjugorje established in 2010 by Benedict XVI and chaired by Cardinal Camillo Ruini.

It seems Pope Francis and the church had to create some doubt about many of aspects of the apparitions because the “messages” are still ongoing and of course the so-called “secrets” create many problems for the Church.    Can you imagine if Pope Francis had said to the world: “Yup its all true and we are now just waiting around for the secrets to unfold” .. It is impossible. As they say it would have “broken the internet.”

Yet Pope Francis  knows the children – the visionaries – did not invent their visions of the Blessed Mother in the early days. He believes something happened, which after years of intense investigation, no worldly explanation has established itself as adequate. So without a plausible narrative to explain “Medjugorje” the Vatican commission concluded that the events at Medjugorje are “supernatural” in nature.

Pope Francis understands the skeptics have had 35 years to prove Medjugorje to be a hoax, a fraud, a scheme and they have come up with nothing. I think Pope Francis feels it’s a safe bet to attach a supernatural label to the very first days of the apparitions without new discoveries of manipulation appearing.

On the plane returning from Fatima, Pope Francis spoke about conflicting views between Cardinal Mueller, head of the Congregation  for the Doctrine of Faith, and members of the Ruini Commission on the status of Medjugorje. Many Vatican insiders believe Cardinal Mueller was very much against Medjugorje but the Pope decided to honor Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI who established the investigation and the hard work of the Ruini committee by allowing the publication of the Ruini conclusions. Most notably that Medjugorje has supernatural origins. This is big, big news.

Now let’s see if Catholic media can set aside their bias against Medjugorje and report the important news that Medjugorje is supernatural in its origins and that the recommendation of the Ruini commission is to create a “Shrine” administered by the Vatican honoring the Queen of Peace.
