how Elvis and God are the same

“God does not dwell in buildings made by people” (Acts 7:48).

“If anyone says the Christ is here or there, don’t believe them” (Mark 13:21).

“The wind blows where it wills and you can’t tell from where it came or where it goes. So is everyone that’s born of the Spirit” (John 3:8).

It’s plain and simple. If someone says, “God is here”, don’t believe them. They’re lying. If someone says, “Jesus is here”, don’t believe them. They’re lying. If someone says “The Spirit is here”, don’t believe them. They’re lying.

Apparently, God who became Christ who became Spirit cannot and will not be contained within human constructs. Yet almost all the Christian language says otherwise. It’s all an attempt to control the Mystery and control those who believe in it. It’s a way to get your body and your money.

You do realize, don’t you, that the verse talking about the wind blowing where it wills and you cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes is only implicitly talking about the Spirit? Actually, it is talking about those born of the Spirit. It is talking about you and me. It is telling us that we are uncontrollable and full of wonder ourselves. It is telling us that we are free. This is the kind of thing we talk about and encourage one another with at The Lasting Supper.
