painting: seagulls in rain

Click on the image for a larger picture of it. I worked on this painting all day and finally completed it. It is a watercolor on Strathmore acid-free heavy cotton rag paper. There are many layers to this painting, which is why it took so many hours. This is a sight common to me in this area of the Atlantic provinces in Canada. Seagulls and rain. It measures approximately 20″x30″ (50cm x 75cm). I’m entering this as my submission to Illustration Friday’s competition on the theme “double”.
