gapingvoid print “cartoons as social objects & virtual pollen”

My good friend whom I’ve never met but have received tons of encouragement from, Matt Calthrop in the UK, went to an event where Hugh MacLeod of gapingvoid was speaking. Matt bought me one of Hugh’s popular limited edition cartoon prints, “cartoons as social objects and virtual pollen”. I’ve always loved it. Now I my own personally signed print by Hugh. You can read more about the cartoon here.

One of the reasons I love Hugh’s work, besides the fact that he is right on with his message and his cartoons really pop, is that gapingvoid was an inspiration for me to try cartooning over six years ago. And Hugh was kind enough to answer my inquisitive emails.

Thanks Hugh for your incredible work. I love cartoons for the power they can carry and the message they can deliver.

And thanks Matt!
