When someone steps into a Muslim woman’s personal space, and forcibly removes her hijab–that’s assault. Just as it would be if a stranger grabbed at a woman’s clothes on the street and tried to rip them off. We each have a right to feel safe and to control our own personhood. Forcefully removing a woman’s Hijab is a grotesque violation of her autonomy.
