“Jonathan Edwards and the Future of Global Christianity.” Lecture by Michael McClymond, a historical theologian at Saint Louis University and an internationally recognized Jonathan Edwards scholar.. The lecture is sponsored by the Blakley Fund for Evangelical Studies. No tickets required.

Wednesday, April 4 @ 7:30, Bast Gym – Presentation: “Mystic Chords of Memory: Results of the Civil War.”

Gary Gallagher of UVA will speak on “The Real Lost Cause: Union and the Memory of the Civil War.” Gary Gallagher is the John L. Nau III Professor in the History of the American Civil War at the University of Virginia. Educated at Adams State College and the University of Texas at Austin, he is one of the leading historians of the Civil War.

Allen Guelzo of Gettysburg College will reflect on “Abraham Lincoln’s Moral Constitution.” Guelzo is the Henry R. Luce Professor of the Civil War Era at Gettysburg College and director of its Civil War Era Studies Program. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania, he is the author of books on two great Americans, Lincoln and Jonathan Edwards. Hosted by Fowler Public Affairs Lecture Series and the Center for Religion and Society.
