While renovating our house, our budget is really tight. We don’t have the financial wiggle room to create a “decorating fund.” Here is a tip to create the look you want without having to foot the expense of rematting frames.
Years ago, I purchased 4 frames with prints from a garage sale for less than a buck each.
The original green mat worked fine in with my decor so I simply spray painted the frame.
I updated the frames using scrapbooking keys.
I took old sheet music with markings from my days as a student and added the embellishments.
Again, the green mats looked fine with my color scheme, but when we moved, they didn’t work anymore.
The house we’ve moved to needs a lot of remodeling, so I didn’t have extra money to have the frames remitted. Sticking to our tight budget, I looked through my scrapbooking paper and found this velour damask paper and loved how it looked with the keys.
It matched our light gray walls.
We used Sherwin Williams Crushed Ice.
Budget friendly, super easy and now a standout piece in my dining room!
