I recently learned that not only do we live in the “Dimple of the Universe” but, our town is also called the Mule capital of the world. Our area is locally and affectionately known as Muletown. How cute is that?! Last year, I attended a local craft fair and found an adorable tin cut mule and knew I had to have it!
I had some what I thought was unusable pallet wood left over from my kitchen island project, and was able to fashion a sign from three leftover pieces. Then I attached the mule using liquid nails and clamped the pieces together.
I love the rusty elements of the mule with the warped, broken pieces of pallet wood. I have lovingly nicknamed this piece my “Wonky Donkey.” (Scientifically, I understand the difference between a mule and donkey, but since they’re closely related, I think it’s applicable here!)
This past weekend, I went to the opening of a local store, The Faded Farmhouse. This shop was incredible, filled with new and old, vintage farmhouse inspired pieces.
I found this little sign from Stacey from Anchored Soul Designs and noticed she had a lot of inventory in the shop. I loved all her pieces and I couldn’t decide which ones to get! I finally settled on this precious cow.
