As the sun shifts from the dreamy, intuitive sign of Pisces to the dynamic, driven sign of Aries, the dreams we dreamt in the previous season may start to take on a whole new life.

Aries is a fiery energy that has no issue with taking the initiative and shaking things up. Aries Season is a time of action, impulsivity, and new beginnings. As such, we can take our wildest dreams and make them a reality with this cycle of seasons.

New Moon in Aries:

New Moons occur in conjunction with the sun and, therefore, in the same zodiac sign. This new moon coincides with the sun in Aries on March 21st, 2023, but this Aries Season also concludes with a bonus solar eclipse. Solar eclipses are often topics of debate within the pagan sphere. Don’t worry, I’ll be exploring this topic more thoroughly in an upcoming article. That said, keep an eye on what comes up for you during this new moon, as it will likely be circled back to at the conclusion of this season.

New moons are the phase where intentions are set, and with the new moon in Aries, the energy is ripe with initiative. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and due to this, this is a great time to set things in motion. In modern and traditional astrology, Aries’s ruling planet is Mars, which is known as the planet of motivation, action, and energy. Aries is also a fire sign, and it is connected to our passions as well as our drive.

The ambitious nature of this sign makes this moon advantageous for cultivating motivation. When the moon is in Aries, we are also more apt to take chances that we might not ordinarily. This fiery energy lends itself to busting down obstructions and proudly taking up our own space. As such, spellwork involving initiative, motivation, eliminating barriers, and other self-improvements are particularly successful under this influence.

All Planets Direct:

Are you able to feel the traction? That’s forward motion without interference from retrograding planets. It’s time to act.

Yes, this is a time to take action and see things through. We are privileged to have a few brief periods where all planets are direct during the year, and this is one of those times. Until April 2023, all planets will be direct, with this being the time to take action.

It’s not my belief to put your life on hold for retrogrades. However, when all planets are direct, there is forward momentum. Taking advantage of this short period will allow us to progress.

In order to maximize the potential of this period, we must apply the lessons we learned when the planets were retrograde. For best results, it is essential to have clear goals for this period. By projecting our newfound energy into projects aligned with our goals, we can advance toward our vision.

The next retrograde will be Mercury Retrograde in April 2023. So, it’s wise to lean into this energy while it’s present by setting intentions in motion.

Pluto in Aquarius:

We have another interesting pairing of energies arising during this Aries Season. Pluto will make its way into the sign of Aquarius on March 23rd, 2023. Pluto will remain in Aquarius until it starts its retrograde period on May 1st. By June 11th, Pluto will be back into Capricorn and won’t reenter Aquarius until January 2024.

However, we may start to feel the initial stages of this transition. This shift is significant because you have Pluto, the planet of transformation and control, contrasting the sign of Aquarius, which is known for its rebellious, unpredictable nature.

Since Aquarius is also a sign of technology and community, Pluto in Aquarius may affect technology, communication, and even social structures. Pluto moving into Aquarius may also emphasize freedom, individuality, and rebellion against authority. With Pluto’s intense, transformative energy, coupled with Aquarius’ innovative and unconventional nature, we might witness major changes in these arenas during this period.

This shift could have several potential outcomes. As stated above, we will likely see many unprecedented technological breakthroughs during this time period, but we may also see conflicts and power struggles with this placement. Depending on our natal charts, this transition may trigger a personal revolution, but we’re also likely to see a societal one as well.

As a whole, Pluto in Aquarius represents a time of significant change and transformation, both individually and collectively. It is a time to question traditional structures and ways of thinking and embrace new and innovative approaches.

Full Moon in Libra:

Each year the Aries Season will be accompanied by a full moon in Libra. This Libra full moon will occur on April 6th, 2023. Full moons are when the moon is most illuminated and, therefore, most potent.

Manifestations can come to fruition during full moons, but they also provide us with an abundance of energy. You do not have to wait for your new moon manifestations to occur on the full moon. During this phase, rituals and spellwork can be proactively performed.

When the moon enters the sign of Libra, this is a cohesive, balanced energy that is a stark contrast to Aries’s self-oriented energy. Libra is an air sign, making this energy one of intellect and communication. During this contrasting energy, we can tap into the passionate nature of the Aries sun with the assistance of the more diplomatic Libra moon.

When the moon is in Libra, this is a time when there is an emphasis on partnerships, communication, and balance. For that reason, this is a fantastic time for spellwork involving improving communication, assisting our relationships, and spells for inner peace or balance, as well as work involving harnessing the energy of both Mars and Venus simultaneously.
