Snow! Yay.

Snow! Yay.

Yay. It’s March! And we’ve just had a little more snow. Such a treat for us. It began to snow yesterday, at 6am, and continued to snow through the day, and here, this morning, it’s still snowing. It’s so charming and gray, the little white flecks swirling endlessly through the cloud laden sky. And! Don’t forget! Each of those flecks is a special unique snowflake, perfect and different and special and unique.

What can a person do, faced with so much special beautiful snow? The same thing we do every Monday. Matt will study. The children will fight, only not with wicked fists, just with petulant words. Aloucious will moan about the horrible big sore in his mouth. Romulus will be shocked to discover he has to do any kind of work. Gladys will irritate everyone. The little girls will whine and not go play, even when I tell them to fifty times. Me, I’m going to betake my rich bubbly cold and my cold icy heart to Aldi in this winter wonderland where I will have to purchase actual bread because my mixer is broken. And then I will do a little light laundry. And then clean the school room, which is piled high with junk and sorrow. It’s all going to be super fun.

God surely does love us. The snowflakes on a thousand hills are in his hands. The sun, though it may be dying, isn’t dead yet. So we will stiffen our upper lips and be cheerful.
